I have taken note that my county of Madison doesn't have an organizer. I would like to know more about what is required to be a county organizer. I am thirsty to learn and to take off running....I need a mentor.
Hi Heather, I also would like to know exactly what all is involved in the various positions within the NLA leadership structure. It would be resourceful to have a job/role description of each, including the various duties and responsibilities of them.
Who am I - I'm a premium member with a full-time job, interested in offering what leadership ability that I can. I might be interested in a paid jury administrator position, if/when they actually become reality.
I've listened in on a few recent nightly conference calls, and there's a little bit of good info, but also a fair amount of inefficiency and a bit of contention between members. I also hear frustration (which I can truly relate to) regarding how slowly we are (and should/need to be) progressing. I really like how clearly Gary said that "rushing in is the surest way for all of us to end up in jail".
I'm far from a shining example of organization and efficiency, however since I firmly believe (as Robert mentioned on Wed. eve) that one has no right to complain without at least having some idea(s) for correction/resolution to offer. To that end, I will be searching for ways and groups/roles to present my talents for use within the NLA.
Please note that I mention my full-time employment, simply to explain the demands upon my time which will no doubt (at least until I may become a dedicated and full-time jury administrator) somewhat limit my involvement.
You're welcome. BTW I found that by going to the "Directory" tab above and clicking on "State Coordinator". If you want further information, you could also find one of the coordinators for your state on that page and call them. You could also try calling one of the National Coordinators to get information on what is involved in all of the leadership positions as you stated you'd like to have. Go to the "Directory" tab again and click on "Directory-Site Contacts". The National Coordinators are listed near the top of the page.
I agree with you that having a job/role description of each position readily and easily accessible on the website would be very helpful. Maybe you could suggest that to one of the National Coordinators if you contact them.
First, thank you mkphillips for initially reaching out and offering a helpful hand! I meant to personally mention you by name in my previous note. I believe that using each other's names in any kind of conversation, is quite important as it displays your sincerity and respect for the other parties involved.
garyd - I plan to contact a few of these folks very soon. I met John Porter from my state on the first conference call that I attended a long time ago. He was very gracious and welcoming! I think that he is perhaps a great example of what we should all be doing to welcome new members. He quickly sent both the Common Law Handbook, and the pocket Constitution & Declaration of Independence to me upon his own initiative.
There are also a few general ideas that I have for improving the NLA website, which I will direct to Kathleen since there doesn't appear to be a "feedback" option located at the very bottom of every page of the NLA website. They include a personal favorites/bookmarks section (for those with active accounts who are logged into the site), in which you can add quick links to any section and/or page and instantly navigate to that particular area of use to you. Another small thing, which I feel would help clarify things a bit, is to keep all of our lists and things of that nature, contained within a bordered/celled table rather than loosely formatted. For example, the State Coordinators section around the middle of the page (http://www.nationallibertyalliance.org/site-contact), is well displayed using different shading for each row and everything is perfectly in alignment. The District Coordinators section at the top of the same page however, looks a bit confusing (especially around my state of Indiana).
I'm sure that with everyone's help, we'll get things moving along and definitely make a huge impact upon our nation!

What/Who are you considering leadership? Maybe I can help.
Here's at least somewhat of a description of the State Coordinator position: http://www.nationallibertyalliance.org/state-coordinator
Thanks Garyd, I'll definitely check that out.
