I posted this in the Alaska forum as Schaeffer was the founder of the Alaska Peacemaker's Militia but I think the whole country needs to know his story and work to get him free. If you listen to the speech he gave to the audience in Montana you'll know what I'm talking about. People like he would be GREAT assets to organizations like the NLA and GREAT LEADERS for our country.
One of the services his group offered to its members was called "the Liberty Bell". Someone from the group was always "on call" and if anyone was being hassled by the police or was in danger and called in to the "Liberty Bell" it was a matter of minutes before 10 or 12 other members of the group all showed up with their cell phones to videotape what was going on.
Talk about INTIMIDATING TO THE POLICE. It had the effect the court watchers are having times 100! It would frightening the officer away from the scene.
Schaeffer's theory was that it was obvious our current system was not going to change anytime soon so why not create a parallel system with its own common law justice system etc. The idea was so popular, the group had its first meeting in a Denny's where around 100+ people showed up to where it grew so quickly they had to meet in a sports/stadium/ civic center that could seat tens of thousands.
Here's what I posted in the Alaska Forum. If you want to be inspired, listen to his Montana speech.
Besides Alaskans I wonder if the NLA has any Montanans from the group Schaeffer was helping to set up there.
Hi All,
I saw a YouTube video of Shaeffer Cox out of Fairbanks giving one of the most inspiring lectures I have ever heard about the group that he led in Fairbanks that was so popular evidently thousands of Alaskans were involved in it. He was speaking to hundreds of liberty lovers in Montana who wanted to set up a similar group and when I later learned he was set up by the FBI I was stunned.
Were any of you involved in the group? Is this group still going? Some of the things they did would be cool if we implemented them in the NLA. Don't you think? I bet members of his Militia would be great assets to the NLA.

Here's an interview with some people speaking on his behalf after his incarceration.
