I have been a student of the Bible for about forty-five years and have learned the first principles of Bible study by God’s mercy very early on, in my walk with God. I have also been blessed with having studied with many others, who were also taught and apply the first principles of Bible studies, they are as follows:
First, the Bible is the Word of God and can be completely trusted. There are many versions of the Bible and I have found that the King James Bible is a precise interpretation from the original Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew. While it is true that some words were miss translated because of the difficulty of interpreting to such a rich language like English. And sometimes an improper interpretation is made because some of the scriptures were sealed until the end of time. And today we are indeed in the end times!
Because we have access to “Youngs Analytical Concordance” and “Strongs Analytical Concordance” with their well-researched lexicons. Whereas, I have found that both these concordances are in agreement with each other in their diligent interpretation offered for the meaning of the Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic words of the Bible. These tools give us the ability to test the translators even though we do not know Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic. Furthermore, the signature of the Holy Spirit bares-witness of its validity. The signature of the Holy Spirit is found in the consistency of spiritual interpretation; this will become abundantly clear as you work through this study. Some of the mis-translations are because the translators rested more on the carnal meaning then the spiritual. Thankfully in the King James Bible these mis-translations are far and in-between and are discovered in two ways; first when we find a verse that appears contradictive or extreemly dificult to ubnderstand.; And second, when we find a problem harmonizing the spiritual message. For example, we read in,
Matthew 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. [8] And the foolish said unto the wise, give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. [9] But the wise answered, saying, not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them (that have the mark) that sell, and buy [buy the gospel] for yourselves. [10] And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door [Christ] was shut.
When we compare this with other Scriptures, we discover a problem with the statement “lest there be not enough for us and you.” The oil is figurative of the Holy Spirit suggesting that the out pouring of the Holy Spirit is limited and this is in contradiction to Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. It is also in contradiction to the feeding of the five thousand where they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full; and of the seven thousand where they took up of the fragments that remained seven baskets full. These fragments identify with the Bread of life aka the Word; and it is the Holy Spirit through the Word that dwells in us as we read in, Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
So, when we go to the Greek, we see the word enough is ἀρκέω, which gives us the idea of raising a barrier; properly to ward off, that is, by implication to avail figuratively be satisfactory: and can be interpreted to be content, be enough, suffice, or be sufficient. Therefore, if we test the word “content” we can find harmony with both the context that is in view and the whole Bible. This parable of the ten virgins is concerning the falling away which in the Greek is the apostasia which means to forsake the truth, as we read in Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Therefore, a more accurate translation would be “Lest there be contention between us and you.” Which is in line with the “Falling Away” because the truth is being denied and contention would develop among the two camps, being Jerusalem above and Jerusalem below. Therefore, they are told to go to those who buy and sell and those buying and selling are those with the mark of the beast.
Second, the Bible is its own interpreter and dictionary as God tells us in, 2 Peter 1:19 “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: [20] Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. [21] For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” The Bible tells us how to read Scripture in, Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. [10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Whereas today, more than ever God said in, Isaiah 28:8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean; Therein the reason for writing this study. I have with vexation listened to so many people interpreting Scriptures privately with the doctrines of men and thereby bringing in many damnable heresies. These false prophets and teachers that fantasize God’s Word when privately interpreting Revelation and all the books in the Bible; they do not realize that Revelation is talking about them, as you will clearly see as you diligently work through this study. And as God warned us in, 2 Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, [12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? [13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. [14] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. [15] And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; [16] As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. [17] Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. [18] But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
Do not trust me, do your own due diligence therefore, don’t accept any teaching that you do not see clearly, wait on the Lord and He will lead you in truth. As God said in, Romans 3:4 Yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. And to those who would pervert His Word he said in, John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. This leads me to the reasons why there are so many interpretations of the book of Revelations, when there can be only one correct interpretation, and those conclusions must harmonize with all Scriptures! And you need to be in communications with God through His Word on a daily basis to know and understand these things.
Today, more than ever there is much attention concerning the book of Revelation by spiritually unstable people. These heretics will never come to truth for the following two reasons.
First, people are ignorant of the first principals and false prophets and false teachers are cardinally minded and bring in these damnable heresies. They love to talk about the Book of Revelation while in fact it is a “Judgment Upon Them;” God warns us in, 2 Peter 2:1-21 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Second, the Book of Revelation is sealed up until the end of the world and therefore cannot be understood until Christ opens the seals at the end of the world as we read in, Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. [2] And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? [3] And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. [4] And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. [5] And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. We will get into greater detail later in our study; but to make the point the following is prematurely offered.
On May 21, 1948 Israel, represented by the fig tree, became a nation which gives us our first clue of the timing of the end, assuring us that we are in that generation which is an 80-year period, we read in, Matthew 24:32-35 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise, ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Truly I say unto you, this generation [an 80-year period] shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
So, A generation is the biblically appointed length of one’s life which is 80 years, we read in, Psalms 90:9-10 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, (80 years) yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Israel became a nation May 21, 1948 and 80 years later brings us to 2028. Therefore, sometime before or soon after 2028 the end will come. God does not give us a day or an hour only the season, as we read in, Mark 13:30-33 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. And in, Matthew 24:42-44 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore, be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
In order to unveil the understanding of the Book of Revelation we need to understand that Revelation is a prophetic book and therefore, are parables revealing the mysteries hidden in God’s Word as He reveals in, Prov 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
Therefore, using the Bible as its own interpreter we need to study the parables as taught by Jesus and only then will we be able to understand the prophetic books of the Bible like Revelation. I believe that this study is proof positive that all the seals have been opened. And the contents of this study will be seen as self-evident, proven by the signature of the Holy Spirit.
In conclusion, I trust that as you read through this study it will become self-evident quickly that the Holy Spirit is leading us because as we read in Revelation 1:1 Prophecy is the Signature of the Holy Spirit. And thereby interpreting the spiritual meanings in the Bible is finding prophesy and its interpretation in this study are in perfect harmony on a spiritual level from Genesis to Revelation. That is the signature of the Holy Spirit!
The Bible is composed of 66 books, penned by about 40 prophets, over a 1500-year period, in various geographical locations. And the spiritual meaning of words and phrase never fail. This proves without doubt that there is only one author who moved holy men of old to pen the scriptures. The fact that the spiritual interpretations throughout the Bible never fails is the signature of the Holy Spirit. I have examined the two books of Maccabees, the book of Wisdom, and the book of Enoch and they all lack the signature of the Holy Spirit, they fail immediately on the spiritual level! They are not the Word of God the authors are imposters. And this study will teach you how to spiritually discern false prophets. Whereas anyone who is declaring God’s Word is prophesying and therefore is claiming to be a prophet.
