Tariq Ali and Hedges get it wrong every time. Syriza, it turns out, is another puppet, like Obama. They are controlled by the corporate fascist masters that use democracy to control the people. The one place he gets it right is that the U.S. is the epicenter of change. It always has been, since the founding of the Republic. Hedges, as much as I admire his smarts, avoids this critical truth. The history that is being taught today and for the last 50 years, is that this country is a democracy. Why is that taught and why is self-hatred taught? Why isn’t the history of our country taught to children in a balanced way? There was certainly bad things that happened in this country but that should not be the emphasis. The reason our families came here is because of the political system that was originally designed here. A Constitutional Republic! The movements of today are all coopted like “Occupy” by the likes of George Soros. They are continuing to push toward “democratic change,” unlike something like the original Black Panthers that were exercising their Constitutional Rights by arming themselves to protect themselves. An armed black, or any color these days, population was destroyed by the king of the times. Like Holder going after “domestic terrorists” today Hoover did the same to the leaders of the sixties. The only way back is through the Constitution. And there are some good organizations that are leading this fight. I am not referring to something like the sovereign citizens movement, though they have a right to exist. National Liberty Alliance is one of a few doing great work to teach and implement change. Yes we should teach the children history of totalitarian governments, like those of Stalin and Marx because that is what is being implemented in our country today.
